In the name of god Amen I William Owzeby of Nelfonhill in the parrifh of hefket and County of Cumberland being of a good age weake in body and ...... of the day of my death being of good and perfect remembrance (Praifed be god) doe make and ordain this my laft will and teftement in manner and form following

ffirft I commend my Soule into the hands of almighty god my creator and redeemer and my body to be buried within the parfish churchyard of hefket. Item I give and bequeath unto Agnes Hewetfon and Janet Hewetfon the daughters of John Hewetfon of Purcrofs (?) my pofsefsions all my houfehold goods which their grandmother had in pofsefsion at her deceafe Item I leave unto Agnes Bailey ...... 3s 4d or otherwise one linen sheet, Item I leave unto William Bell 2 li. Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Hewetfon and John Hewetfon the sonnes of John Hewetfon all the reft of my goods moveable and immoveable and make to bee Executors of this my laft will and teftement and the said John Hewetfon is to guide and bring up thofe two children pontill they come to lawful age witnefses .........
